Needed to slice an orange oxer to win this speed class, but Lu was fine with it.

A horse cantering in slow motion at the press of a button.
|
I swear, she looks like she's enjoying the music at the start of this class.
| A fun, twisty, jump-off that felt like a slalom at the end.
|
I wanted her slow over the first fence so we could turn tight and then speed up. Being held back really pisses her off.
| Lu really comes into her own in a cross-country setting. We won this event in 2019 in a field of 16 horses, with 3 rides by a pro.
|
The jump-off in this classic had a really long distance after the first fence, so the little speed demon was in her element.
| Lu is very agile in her turns which really helps with the tight indoor courses on the winter circuit.
|
Left a stride out going to the last fence, but Lu didn't seem to care.
| A gorgeous Sunday morning to ride the Classic.
